About the Role:
As a Media Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Media Studies lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5, covering topics such as media theory, production techniques, and media analysis. You will develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy. You will assess student progress through media projects, presentations, and written evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also contribute to departmental meetings, participate in curriculum development, and potentially lead extracurricular media clubs or film productions. This is a fixed term one year contract to cover a planned absence.
Ideal Candidate:
You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Media Studies or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of media theory and production techniques. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences.
