The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a deputy manager position to join our team at our Extra Care Schemes on the Isle of Wight. As a deputy manager, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to our residents. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Managers to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality care.
You will also take on the responsibility of leading the service in the absence of the Registered Managers. Additionally, you will collaborate with the CQC Service Manager to ensure that all services meet the standards set by the Care Quality Commission. Flexibility is essential for this role, as you will be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical capability for moving and handling is necessary, and you must have access to a vehicle with business use insurance. Please note that an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process. As a deputy manager, you will report directly to the CQC Service Manager, who oversees the Registered Extra Care services. Within this role you will be required to be place on the on call rota.

What you'll have:
* You will need to have knowledge and experience of the specific requirements of people with care and support needs
* You will need an understanding of Care and Support Services systems with knowledge of CQC requirements
* You will need to have proven experience of supervising, leading and motivating a team
* You will need to have good verbal, written communication skills
* You will need to have good IT skills and demonstrate good organisational and administration skills
