A temporary 12-month fixed term contract has arisen within our Earth Moving After Sales department based in Biggleswade for a Service Controller. The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd Earth Moving Technical Division by offering effective customer service through clear communication with Field Service Engineers, ensuring parts and services are provided in a timely manner. Your responsibilities as a Service Controller To assist the After Sales Supervisor in carrying out the duties necessary in supporting the service department and providing industry leading customer service. Takes the lead in answering all inbound calls in a swift and efficient manner, obtaining customer details, order numbers or other authorisation when required. To be responsible for the organisation of all parts, labour, tooling and other necessary resources required for the efficient completion of any job. To close and invoice jobs in a manner justifying costs incurred to both external and internal customers (including warranty and service agreements) and ensure effective management of the depot’s WIP. Liaising with customers to schedule all jobs including the maintenance of machines and ensuring the complete schedules and defects are controlled through the Service mailbox and sent to customers in a timely manner. Takes the lead to communicate with Workshop and Field Service Engineers to compile and prepare estimates for secondary work to generate sales. Raises Sales Orders, Work Orders, Purchase Requests and Invoices both internally and to customers. Inputs engineer time sheets and overtime forms to produce monthly information required for payroll. Take the lead dealing with suppliers, raising purchase order numbers and closing these on good arrival. Processing and dealing with credit notes Maintains an organised system of work, ensuring filing and documentation are handled in a timely manner and logically filed To be successful in the Service Controller role The Successful Candidate Will Require The Following Is able demonstrate competencies and skills for the role through service-related experience in a similar industry Ability to use own initiative Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
