Lead Technician

Monday to Friday plus 1 in 3 Sundays
£46,397.00 per annum
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Technician to come join us, based at our Wakefield Depot. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, your overall responsibility will be to lead a multi-skilled team of technicians, plan and schedule maintenance activities, liaise with and supervise external contractors, and review and update daily/weekly/monthly reports. The role may offer opportunities for technical and leadership training, along with supporting the national team.
The heart of the role
1. Scheduling maintenance for Automation and Facility systems
2. Supervision of external contractors onsite
3. Security auditing
4. Resource Planning
5. Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to key stakeholders
What makes you tick
1. Minimum recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
2. Proven experience managing a maintenance department.
3. Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
4. Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
5. Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.
