Job Description Summary
The GEV PSE (SCTS) will be responsible for on location technical support for the GEV Services Engineering team. In this role the PSE is responsible for reviewing Service Center generated non-serviceable reports (NSR’s) as assigned by the Service Center Lead Engineer, precision measurement of components as needed, reporting all leading indicators to the applicable Product Line Service engineer and routing material as directed and/or needed. Overall, the role encompasses Aeroderivative technical expertise, people interaction, and high levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen to achieve business outcomes. The role will also encompass Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and field technical support.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
• Disposition, justification, coordination of cost savings, and documentation of
NSRs in timely manner.
• Participate as team member on investigations.
• Assist the product service engineering platform team’s activities, such as
service bulletin development, depot support, and repair development.
• Maintain a culture of safety within the team.
• Support pipeline development by identify leading indicators and escalation to
the applicable Product Line Engineering lead.
• Interprets internal and external technical/business challenges and
recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Participate in weekly Aero Event Review Board meetings.
• Support the implementation and standard work efforts to utilize the Clean
and Dress (CID) in L2 and L4 shops.
• Document creation, coordination for approval, and implementation of
procedures.
• Route Material as needed to support the CID process.
• Route Material as needed to support field investigations.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 years of gas turbine technology experience – preferably
aeroderivative.
• BS degree or above in an engineering discipline (or HS Diploma/GED with 5
years' experience GE Gas Turbine technology/GE Aeroderivative).
• Proven ability to motivate others and achieve results within high tech matrix
environment.
• 5% travel may be required.
Desired Characteristics
• Experience with analytics, RM&D, and lifting tools (Weibull analysis, etc.).
• Familiarity of O&M’s, IRM’s, bulletins, repair documents and other technical
documents.
• Familiarity with aeroderivative gas turbine construction and repair.
• Familiarity with the many operating profiles, configurations, and
environmental challenges that the Aero fleet experiences.
• Comfort influencing internal stakeholders, communicating complex technical
details in an understandable fashion.
• Clear, Inclusive and Creative, out-side-the-box thinker.
• Proven interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
About Us
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $85,600-$142,600 USD Annual.,
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
