Your communication skills allow you to effectively train and support staff, as well as provide insightful advice on record management and data compliance. What the Job Involves This role involves supporting the Governance Manager and Head of Governance in managing all aspects of information governance, including handling FOI, EIR requests, and Data Protection SARs within statutory timescales. You will prepare for GDPR implementation, develop relevant statistics, policies, and procedures, assist in investigations related to data protection breaches, and manage appeals and complaints from the Information Commissioner’s Office. Training and supporting the staff on data processing and legislation compliance forms a key part of your responsibilities. You will contribute to maintaining Derby Homes' FOI publication scheme and compliance, lead projects related to data quality improvement, and assist in developing the electronic document and records management system (EDRMS). Compliance with health and safety regulations, participating in organizational initiatives like the Job Chat Scheme, and adhering to Derby Homes' customer care code are essential components of the role. Flexibility to adapt to team priorities and covering duties during absences is expected.
