Base pay range
£450-500 per day and expenses.
Our client, a major construction company who specializes in Project Controls and Planning, is looking to hire an experienced Planning Engineer to join their established team working on a major infrastructure project in the Southwest. The role will require 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
The project is focused on mechanical & pipework engineering, and candidates will require some knowledge in this area, from design to installation phases of the project lifecycle.
Your role will involve monthly submissions of the P6 programme, including the NEC4 Contract, specifically clause 32. You will also analyze aspects of the programme through these monthly submissions with data such as Float, Critical Paths, Time Risk Allowance, etc. Part of your role will also be assessing the practicality and realistic nature of the programme and whether it complies with the scope. You will also assess the progress claimed and keep a detailed record of actual progress on-site to cross-reference claims from contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the compensation event quotation by assessing the compensation event programmes.
* Provide detailed narratives on the compensation event programmes.
* Create and regularly update a programme that will assess and forecast all issues.
* Provide strategic advice to the Project Manager and Commercial team, whilst ensuring the commercial interests of the client are protected.
* Work closely with the Project Managers to create programs to assess compensation event quotations.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of NEC Contracts, with prior experience working within Clause 31 & 32.
* Previous experience using Primavera P6 within an infrastructure project.
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Prior experience working on a highway project (desirable).
