Job overview
We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our well-established and integrated adult community rehabilitation team. This is a part-time role - 24 hours per week over 5 days.
Redbridge health and social care community service is a forward-thinking and innovative service that works in a fully integrated way, with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses, social services, and community matrons all working side by side to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to the people accessing the community services.
Our community rehab team assesses housebound adults within their home environment. By assessing people within their home environment, we are in a good position to significantly improve people's quality of life and promote independence at home by providing therapy as well as by jointly working with social services and other members of our integrated team, making this a very rewarding job.
The post holder will achieve this by being an experienced Physiotherapist and would be responsible for managing routine and complex cases and supporting the clinical lead/team manager in the day-to-day running of the therapy team within CHSCS.
Main duties of the job
1. To be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the CHSCS therapy team.
2. Networking with other multi-disciplinary, statutory, private and voluntary organisations, users, carers and assisting in managing the interfaces between them.
3. Recruitment and selection.
4. Plan and provide local induction and ensure trust induction standards are met.
5. Workload prioritisation & planning within the team.
6. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own caseload while being able to work flexibly to meet the needs of their patients, relatives, carers, and the service.
7. Review and amend as appropriate clinical priorities, balancing patient-related and professional demands, and ensure that these remain in accordance with the service policies.
8. Providing regular supervision and performance management.
9. Deputise for the team manager and/or Locality Lead as required.
10. Support the team manager in the effective management of the resources including all pay and non-pay expenditure, ensuring that accountability can be demonstrated for all financial actions.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part-time staff.

Person specification
Qualification
* Degree & a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy or working towards MSc.
Experience
* To have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a band 6 Physiotherapist with community care experience.
* Experience in all general, stroke and neuro rehabilitation.
Management Experience
* Experience of managing senior and junior staff, students, and assistants.
* Knowledge of health and social care integration.
* Car driver and UK licence.
