Pertemps are working with our public sector client to recruit for a Facilities Team Leader (soft services) on a temporary basis in Edinburgh.
Role - Facilities Team Leader
Location - Central Edinburgh with travel around the city as required
Hours - 36 hours per week (must be flexible with hours of work)
Duration - Until end of March 2025 (with possible extension)
Pay rate - £20.03 per hour
Start date - asap
The successful candidate will be working as part of an established team and will have their own dedicated area of the city to oversee. You will be looking after a variety of operational buildings, including schools, community centres and offices. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to:
Leading and managing the delivery of the service provision
Organising, planning and delivering services to meet with agreed service levels
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation and procedures
Being proactive in your approach whilst looking to provide continuous improvement
Management and coordination of sub-contractors
Managing staff
Attending meetings
Reporting on the work being undertaken in your area
Liaising with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders
Reviewing the asset register, ensuring it is kept up to date
Escalating any issues as necessary
Any other tasks as required
You should have a proven track record in a similar role, have excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally, have strong IT skills and be flexible in your approach. A driving licence is required for this position.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a PVG at a cost of £59 for a new application (£18 for an update).
