We currently have a vacancy for a Committee Services Officer to join our Committee and Governance Services team. The Committee and Governance Services team provides a comprehensive, effective and professional democratic services function to the Combined Authority and its formal public committees. The Role Reporting into Committee Services Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include: · To arrange and support the Combined Authority’s formal committee meetings including the co-ordination and collation of committee papers, and publishing of agendas. · Attending formal committee meetings, taking notes and drafting accurate minutes. · Advising officers and members on procedural matters. · Preparation and publication of records of decisions made by committees. · Oversight and co-ordination of the Agenda Forward Plans. · Webcasting of committee meetings. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: · Experience of working in a similar role, of preparing agendas, attending meetings, and taking minutes of formal meetings. · Experienced user of Microsoft Office with ability to produce documentation swiftly and accurately. · Excellent written communication skills with a keen attention to detail. · Educated to A Level or equivalent relevant education/experience. · Skilled at organising your own workload and prioritising tasks with the ability to anticipate and be proactive.
