Job Summary: The customs and accounting administrative assistant will assist with preparing and responding to customs documentation and questions, assist with accounting tasks, and handle various administrative duties, including filing and record-keeping. Key Responsibilities: Customs Documentation: Prepare and submit all necessary customs documentation for imports and exports. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies. Liaise with customs officials and freight forwarders to resolve any issues. Accounting Support: Assist in maintaining financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments. Support the accounts payable and receivable processes. Conduct regular reconciliations of financial statements. Administrative Tasks: Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for customs and accounting documents. Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records in accounting software. Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and sales, to ensure seamless operations. Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding shipping and payment inquiries. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Sage 50 Accounts experience is desirable Previous experience in customs documentation and accounting is highly desirable. Bachelor's Degree: A degree in fields such as Business Administration, Accounting or Finance would be advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
