About the Role: Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse musical genres and styles. Plan and deliver lessons that foster musical performance, composition, and appreciation skills, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including instrumental instruction and music technology. Assess student progress through performances, compositions, and written assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their musical development. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum, integrating current musical trends and performance techniques, and participate in departmental planning and collaboration. Organize and lead musical performances, concerts, and extracurricular music activities, such as choirs, bands, and instrumental ensembles, promoting student engagement and artistic expression. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Music subject knowledge, including performance, composition, and music theory. Demonstrated experience teaching Music to A-Level, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and musical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students in a vibrant artistic environment.
