A highly respected Multi Academy Trust invites applications for the role of Primary Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated team at their Congleton school. Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase. They will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities.
2. Provide support to individual pupils and small groups, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs.
3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s emotional and social development.
4. Contribute to planning and preparation of resources.
5. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
6. Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s ethos and policies.
7. Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND, to achieve their potential.
8. Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupil success.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, or equivalent).
2. Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
3. A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping all children thrive.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures (training will be provided if necessary).
7. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
Desirable:
1. Experience supporting children with SEND.
2. Knowledge of the National Curriculum and EYFS Framework.
