Project Engineer - Oldham (M&E) Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 plus company vehicle Office based for initial training and then hybrid working model As a Project Engineer, you will be a key point of contact between stakeholders, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly, safely, within budget, and on time. You will coordinate various technical aspects of M&E projects and support the team throughout each phase, from design to completion. Your ability to manage relationships, maintain attention to detail, and apply technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring project success. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between all project stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and that projects are executed safely, within budget, and on schedule. On-Site Surveys & Compliance: Conduct on-site surveys to ensure that all work is in compliance with regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols. Technical & Commercial Consolidation: Gather and consolidate relevant technical and some commercial information using approved company processes to facilitate the post-instruction phase of each project. On-Site Coordination: Coordinate and complete technical surveys with external supply partners during the design phase, ensuring all technical aspects are accounted for. Verify Technical Data: Review technical information, drawings, and supplier quotes to support the completion of equipment ordering. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive relationships across departments to ensure seamless communication and information transfer throughout the project lifecycle. Technical Support & Documentation: Support with technical drawings, sketches and assist with project specifications and clarifications. Ensure all technical materials match current standards and project scope. Variation Quotations & Commercial Support: Support the team in managing variation quotations and liaise with suppliers to ensure technical specifications are met. Project Handover: Be actively involved in the project handover process, ensuring all documentation and technical details are accurately completed. Site & Technical Assistance: Offer technical assistance to the administration team and provide on-site support as required for major projects. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the M&E engineering industry (desirable) but full training will be provided Proficiency in adhering to ISO procedures and regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Engineering qualifications required (BTEC Level 3 Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/ Construction/ Civil/ Structural Engineering desirable) IT experience required; (Microsoft Software applications – Outlook, Excel, Word etc) Working knowledge of CAD essential. Additional/ other design software (SolidWorks, Revit etc) beneficial, although on the job training available. Willingness to travel for off-site engagements, such as site surveys and industry events.
