The Medical Day Case carries out various evasive procedures and a variety of infusional therapies. This new non-clinical post, supporting the clinical team, is being introduced at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and will develop into an integral part of the ward team; you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities/services on the Acute Stroke Unit, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment. This role will not support direct patient care. The main element of the role is ensuring and supporting the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patients needs, as determined by the ward sister / charge nurse. The post holder will work co-operatively with colleagues, as part of the team and perform additional duties as and when directed by the ward clinical team, to enable nursing staff to undertake direct patient care.
