Digital Director
Our client is seeking a confident, enthusiastic marketing professional, with first-class relationship management and leadership skills and the confidence and ability to engage with everyone you encounter professionally. You’ll be an inquisitive, strategic and big picture thinker, who can offer strategic communications counsel and planning to clients and who takes time to understand a client’s business objectives to help devise appropriate communications solutions to achieve them. You will know the digital landscape inside out and help us devise a long-term digital road map to grow our digital communications offering. You will have a creative mind and a flair for writing in a variety of styles online as well as meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, working on a number of social/digital accounts for clients across a range of sectors, leading on strategy development, paid advertising and organic content development – alongside our multi-skilled team. meet the following
Essential Criteria:
4. Applicants for Digital Marketing Director must have a minimum of five years relevant digital communications experience working with clients/organisations in the private and/or public/third sector. This should include experience of devising and delivering digital communication strategies to meet client objectives as well as managing associated budgets.
5. Have at least 3 years’ experience of managing and developing people to maximise their potential
6. Hold a third level qualification (preferably, but not exclusively in Digital Marketing/Public Relations, Communications and/or Marketing)
7. Have a recognised digital marketing qualification and/or proven experience of designing and delivering digital communications programmes including: content planning, copy creation and delivery across a range of social media platforms; social influencer management, planning and delivering digital advertising campaigns and measuring and evaluating their effectiveness
8. Have experience of delivering excellent results within a communications/marketing environment and as part of a team.
9. Awareness and experience of other communication tools as part of an integrated communications mix is also desirable.
10. It would also be desirable to have a sound operational knowledge of a Communications Consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities / skills:
11. Together with the senior team, help develop our digital marketing roadmap
12. Advise clients on their social media strategy including paid and organic content and tactics to meet objectives
13. Create successful digital marketing / social media strategies to enhance clients’ online presence and meet goals, overseeing creative, compelling and accurate content
14. Devise social media advertising campaign, place ads and optimise across appropriate channels.
15. Advise on which channels to prioritise / invest in according to clients’ brand and goals.
16. Oversee and lead on digital / social media client accounts
17. Review analytics and make recommendations on strategy and tactics
18. Advise clients on budget setting and manage budgets to optimise performance
19. Measure and report on ROI and KPIs as agreed with clients
20. Develop specific campaigns and creative tactics to drive engagement and meet KPIs
21. Help to secure new business both from current and potential clients – with support from wider team
22. Liaise with content creators, comms and digital team and account leads to share best practice, up-skill and build capacity within the team
23. Help ensure that the best talent is sourced and developed to meet current and future business needs. In particular this will include helping support more junior members of the team to develop their digital skills and experience.
