Our Grantham client is looking for a new candidate to join their Finance team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the department runs efficiently and meets the requirements of the business.
Duties include:
1. Production of weekly cashflow forecasting.
2. Oversee purchase ledger to ensure the team is processing and coding invoices and making payments on Sage 50.
3. Draft monthly management accounts, looking into variances and investigating adjustments.
4. Providing an overview of the sales invoicing process, analysing postings, and correcting queries.
5. Managing the payroll processing system, reporting of pensions and taxes.
6. Undertake the HR function including issuing offer letters and contracts of employment and managing disciplinary and grievance procedures.
7. Administration of the Sage HR system, providing updates to documents and policies.
8. Month End reconciliations and preparation for year-end.
9. Creating quarterly VAT return and annual submission reports.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for the Finance Manager role, candidates must be AAT qualified or equivalent. They should have an all-round accounts knowledge and enjoy multi-tasking in a role. Previous experience overseeing a small team would be helpful but is not essential. Previous SAGE 50 exposure is essential, as are intermediate Excel and Word skills.
