Facilities Service Operative - Apprenticeship Programme
As a facilities service operative apprentice, you’ll work alongside a supportive team within Facilities, gaining hands-on experience in the day-to-day running of our facilities. You’ll be guided by experienced mentors who will help you with everything from welcoming visitors and guests, managing building maintenance and health & safety processes to coordinating repairs and handling service requests. The role is all about learning how to keep everybody safe and comfortable at work and ensure everything is running smoothly whilst working with our suppliers and internal functions. You'll get the chance to apply your organisational skills to help communicate important tasks and make sure the facilities team is on track. With plenty of support from your line managers and colleagues, you’ll have the chance to grow in your role, gain qualifications, and develop skills that will help you build a strong foundation for a career in facilities management.
The role will involve some or all the following:
* Welcoming guests/visitors and VIPs to the office
* Inductions – ensuring all visitors/guests and VIPs are inducted upon arrival.
* Ensuring the building and its systems are in good working order, this can involve coordinating repair schedules.
* Vendor Management – working with external service providers that may attend site.
* Space Management – coordinating the use of office and meeting room space by managing room bookings and addressing space requirements.
* Health and Safety – Ensuring the facility complies with health and safety regulations including emergency exits, fire alarms and overall safety of employees and visitors.
* Event Support – sometimes the coordinator helps with setting up or managing events, meetings or conferences that happen at the office.
* In essence ensuring the smooth operation of the office/facility.
What Qualification Will I Receive Through the Apprenticeship?
As part of this apprenticeship you will follow the Facilities Services Operative Level 2 apprenticeship standard which takes up to 18 months to complete, along with the skills and experience to build a promising career within the industry.
What Do I Need to Be Considered for the Apprenticeship?
* GCSE Maths and English at grade A*- D / 3-9 (or equivalent)
* You don’t need to have previous experience for the role, but you do need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude!
* Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note, that we do not provide sponsorship.

Where Will I Be Based on the Apprenticeship?
This role will be from one of our office locations in Kentish Town, Hemel Hempstead or Warrington.
