We are currently seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and company credit card statements Assist in preparing and posting journal entries Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash Support the month-end and year-end financial close processes Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policy and audit requirements Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve finance-related queries Assist with VAT returns and other financial reporting tasks as required Provide general administrative support to the finance function Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience in a similar accounts role, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors AAT qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar) Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems Ability to prioritise and manage workloads independently and as part of a team Strong organisational and communication skills What We Offer: £12.50 per hour pay rate Temporary to permanent opportunity Monday to Friday working pattern On-site parking and modern facilities Supportive and friendly working environment Opportunities for further training and progression upon securing a permanent role AUTOBUS ADZN1_UKTJ
