We are looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer EMAS to join our team at Information Technology Services (ITS).
An Infrastructure Engineer designs, builds, manages, and supports the infrastructure services that underpin all internal user services and services to the public. Working in a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, a Senior Infrastructure Engineer builds, administers, supports and maintains solutions as directed and according to departmental policy.
In this role you will primarily look after the applications and tooling, whilst managing and monitoring the infrastructure. Collecting data and sharing this with Service Management.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Ensuring services are integrated, delivered, and operated as required.
Working with and supporting third parties in providing infrastructure services.
Working with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations.

Person specification
You will bring an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a willingness to share and learn new technologies.
You will have experience in maintaining Enterprise Tooling, such as BMC TrueSight Operations Management, Capacity Optimisation and Server Automation. You will also have experience in ITSM tooling, such as BMC Discovery and ServiceNow.
You will have strong stakeholder engagement experience and the ability to influence across all grades within the organisation. Along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You will be someone who has the initiative to identify and act upon any issues that may arise.
You will have excellent communications skills, with the ability to tailor this your audience.
You will be a motivated self-starter with the drive to work autonomously.

Government Digital and Data Profession Pay Framework
The role is part of the Government Digital and Data profession and utilises an enhanced Capability–Based Pay Framework which provides access to a Digital and Data allowance.
The base pay is £42,848. In addition to this the role includes a Digital and Data allowance of up to £14,552.
The value of allowance awarded will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated through the selection process.
