Our major client is looking to recruit a temporary Maintenance Technician, the role can be either mechanically or electrically biased, you will be shadowing a team member so full assistance is available;
Position Overview:
You will be required to perform pro-active and reactive maintenance on electro-mechanical processing and packaging machinery therefore a multiskilled engineering background is essential. A strong ability to apply troubleshooting techniques to maintain the smooth running of the production process and uphold the highest quality standards. Work as part of a team and as an individual in a fast-paced maintenance department.

Skills & Experience:
* Time Served Apprentice
* Mechanical and/or electrical skills
* ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 Engineering and Maintenance
* Experience of processing, packaging machines
* PLC and inspection camera system knowledge
* 18th Edition wiring regulations, not essential
* Production or Process Maintenance Engineering experience in a complex manufacturing organization within fast-paced manufacturing environments
* Ability to diagnose and rectify PLC and controls issues throughout the business.
* Experience of inverter, servo, DC drives
* Worked with circuits from 415 to 24VDC power & control.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse technical problems, develop appropriate solutions and implement those solutions through effective business plans.
* Understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of engineering
* Broad knowledge and understanding of production and engineering challenge to the MedTech or Pharmaceutical industry and associate regulations.
* Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change quickly.
* Must demonstrate a sense of urgency.
* Proficiency in standard software applications used i.e., Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint), SAP, Maximo (CMMS)
* Ability to work to engineering drawings but also have the ability to fault find and diagnose faults without using engineering drawings.
The hours of work are 10pm to 6am, Monday to Thursday.
