The project:
Mace is seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join this rapidly growing and successful part of the business. The key roles will be to plan, direct, manage and oversee implementation of the Electrical works to ensure the client's goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule, budget and defined health, safety, and quality parameters. Effective communication with client, contractor and sub-contractors, consultants, and management of client and project stakeholders is required. Regulated industry experience. PM qualified. Nuclear/defence experience. Electrical experience.
Responsibilities:
* Promote Mace's value of safety first, and actively engage in relevant business and statutory Health, Safety, and Wellbeing standards and activities at all stages of the project.
* Be aware of local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
* Champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people in your team.
* Ensure quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence.
* Support delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
* Manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of project managers and senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the project.
* Review design and engage through the design process.
* Scope work packages for design drawings in line with the other package managers.
* Assist the design team to manage the design process.
* Manage packages through procurement and delivery.
* Oversee procurement of packages, reviewing and appointing subcontractors alongside the commercial team.
* Provide support to construction managers to ensure trade work packages are attaining the agreed delivery programme.
* Manage and review the Contractor Reporting (Dashboard).
* Chair regular Progress Meetings.
* Monitor the Contractor Design, Programme and Deliverables.
* Review and Monitor Key Quality Sign Offs.
* Review and monitor incoming changes and advise on scope change and programme.
* Review and authorise Request for Information (RFIs).
* Issue Monthly Contractor Performance to SCM and liaise with Package Champion.
* Review and liaise with Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
* Upon completion of package works, ensure Package Close Out Form is completed and sent to SCM.

* Manage parts of projects independently, with oversight from other project managers.
You’ll need to have:
* Experience in procurement of electrical packages including IT/Comms/Security systems.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Strong influencing and people management skills.
* Track record in working in a regulated industry – Rail/Aviation etc.
You’ll also have:
* Relevant Degree qualifications or BTEC/HNC.
* CSCS.
* Nuclear and Defence experience preferable.
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Experience in project management, ideally in a property or infrastructure sector.
* A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations.
* Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
