The Role
The Interior Designer will work closely with sales, project managers and estimating to design the creation or renovation of a workspace. They will be involved in the planning and coordination of a project and may also work closely with the client. The Interior Designer must be innovative and able to produce an interior that is personalised to the client's taste, requirements and budget, considering elements such as:- safety, traffic flow, comfort and style.
Primary Job Duties:
Maintain a high level of professional conduct always providing excellent customer service

Implement and comply with Health & Safety standards
Implement and comply with GDPR
Comply with laws, company regulations and ISO requirements
Identify any training requirements and keep up to date with training
Good communication skills
Create drawings in AutoCAD
Create 3D visuals using Sketchup and Lumion
Prepare installation drawings and supporting documents (specs)
Create sample and mood boards
Produces sketches, drawings, and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills
Revise drawings, rendering and specs when required
Use photoshop to manipulate new and existing images and visuals
Be able to match colours and also understands how colours affect spatial perception and moods.
Provide clerical and telephone organisational support
Aids sales with initial customer meeting
Meet with Suppliers and Vendors
Analysis the space and how it will be used and produce a space plan which defines the zones and the activities that will take place in those zones
Consistently bringing fresh ideas to projects, which captures the look and attitude of the individual customer needs.
Have a well-developed eye for scale and balance, designing elements that 'fit' the space for maximum impact.
Can differentiate the needs of different 'styles' and 'looks' and deliver those styles without letting personal preferences impact choices.
Understand clients' needs and the needs of the people using the building to develop design concepts and establish final briefs
Keep up to date with new developments in the design industry.
