Our public sector client is currently looking to recruit a Business Support Administrator to join their team, initially for 12 weeks.
Location: Oakham
Pay Rate: £11.44ph
Hours: 37hrs a week hybrid but some office attendance required per week.
Purpose of the Job:
To provide efficient administrative support to the Highways team, assisting with customer liaison, data management, financial processes, and general office duties in line with objectives and standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for the Highways team, maintaining high customer service standards.
2. Ensure accurate data entry into internal and external systems, including periodic returns for national bodies.
3. Handle customer inquiries via email, phone, social media, and mail, providing assistance or escalating as necessary.
4. Maintain and update departmental complaint and enquiry systems.
5. Manage databases for licenses, permits, and payments.
6. Manage invoices, purchase orders, and ensure proper audit trails via the finance system.
7. Organise office supplies, manage post, and schedule meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
In order to apply you must possess the following:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2. Experience in an administrative role and working within a team.
3. Knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation.
