Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare
Location: Locks Heath
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000, with added benefits for night shifts and sleep-ins
Reports to: Registered Manager

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join their team and contribute to their mission of delivering exceptional care and support.
Job Purpose:
As a Deputy Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure that the home meets the regulatory standards set by The Childrens Homes England Regulations 2015 and exceeds Quality Standards. You will take a leadership role in managing the team, ensuring high standards of care, and stepping in for the Registered Manager when necessary. Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Support the Registered Manager in leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care. Deputize in their absence and manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
* Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, taking joint responsibility for safeguarding.
* Compliance: Ensure the home complies with The Childrens Homes England Regulations 2015 and exceeds Quality Standards, adhering to all relevant legislation.
* Team Development: Assist in recruitment, induction, performance management, and the professional development of staff. Provide leadership and guidance during shifts.
* Quality Assurance: Regularly monitor the homes performance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement.
* Direct Care: Work directly with young people, supporting their development and building strong relationships with families and external stakeholders.
* Crisis Management: Provide additional support to children in crisis or stressful situations, maintaining a stable and caring environment.
What Were Looking For:
* Qualifications: Ideally, you are working towards or hold a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare.
* Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior. Leadership experience is essential.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external agencies.
* Passion: You are enthusiastic, diligent, and passionate about delivering high-quality care to children.
* Driving License: A Full UK Driving License is required.
