What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 – 20 hours
We are looking to appoint someone to join our team of enthusiastic and hard-working teaching assistants at St. Andrew’s Church of England Primary School. You will need to:
• be a kind, caring individual
• be able to respond sensitively to the individual needs of our children
• demonstrate the ability to work alongside the class teacher to adapt work and provide tailored support across the curriculum
• build good professional relationships with children and colleagues
• be willing to work effectively as part of a team
• have a warm, positive outlook
• be sympathetic to our Christian vision and values
Applicants should hold an appropriate qualification in learning support and ideally have had experience of working in a school setting. They should be literate and numerate to GCSE or equivalent level.
