Job Description
Springboard is commissioned by the Highland Council to provide a throughcare and aftercare service to young people aged 16-26 years who are leaving care in Highland.
The successful applicant will work directly with young people who who have been previously supported as unaccompanied asylum seekers and who have now recieved right to remain in UK. These young people have been supported via the Comriach Partnership Service and are care experienced young people. The successful candidate will be part of the wider social work team for this project but will have responsibility for the aftercare journey and coordinating the pathway planning for each young person as part of the Springboard Service.
The sucessful candidate will be required to have strong assessment skills and experience in report writing and recording. They will be required to asses need and co-ordinate a plan of support for young people, offering advice and guidance to enable young people to work towards agreed outcomes to aid the transition to independence. Experience of managing a caseload would also be preferable.
