Dream Medical is working with the Ministry of Defence and has an exciting opportunity for a CBT Trained RMN Nurse in the community. You must have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
The CMHN is responsible for providing an outpatient community mental health service within their area of responsibility (AOR), organising therapeutic, educational, training, and mental health promotion regimes in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary mental health team at the DCMH. The RN (MH) must have a minimum of two years of community mental health nursing experience.
Your role will include:
1. Providing visiting occupational mental health liaison clinics at medical centres in the DCMH catchment area as allocated.
2. Liaising as appropriate with SMOs, referring doctors, other CMHNs, and welfare personnel to co-ordinate patient care pathways, considering both patient needs and Service requirements.
3. Ensuring that the quality and delivery of community mental health care adheres to departmental protocols and NICE guidelines.
4. Taking responsibility for units designated within your Area of Responsibility (AOR) and managing new referrals from units within the AOR, considering levels of clinician competence.
5. Dictating/writing medical reports within one week of assessment, as per DCMH and NMC guidelines.
6. Supporting all aspects of Health Promotion projects as directed by the Nursing Officer DCMH, in support of the Mission Statement of DCMH.
Requirements:
* NMC registration and pin
* SLiAP (Formally known as Preparation for Mentorship)/ ENB 998 or BSc in Nursing
* Secondary Clinical Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)/ Trauma Focused CBT
* Clean UK driving licence (an individual with the required experience without a driving licence will be considered if the employment does not involve direct travelling)
* Computer Skills
* Desirable: Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (level 1)
