100% of the weekly working time (39.4 hours)

Department I covers a comprehensive and wide-ranging spectrum of tasks in the areas of finance, human resources, information technology and central services in order to provide the best possible support for the tasks of the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs. The central IT team is responsible for planning, installing and operating the infrastructure, as well as for networking the three locations in Berlin and Bonn.
Your future field of work
* Operation and maintenance of the LINUX system environment (including applications), patch management
* Implementation of Linux standards, including in the areas of system hardening (according to BSI guidelines)
* Resolving operational faults and analyzing problems in the area of responsibility (2nd/3rd level support)
* Creation, adaptation and maintenance of instructions and documentation in our in-house IT wiki
Your profile
* Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science or successfully completed training as an IT specialist or comparable, with several years of professional experience
* Sound knowledge of Ubuntu, Suse Leap, container virtualization (Docker) and various Linux derivatives
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python
* Basic knowledge of IT security (e.g. certificates)
* Knowledge of German at a very good level (C2 level) and very good linguistic expression, good knowledge of English (B2 level)
