Workshop Manager – Steel Fabrication Location: Luton Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM Are you an experienced Workshop Manager looking for a new challenge in the steelwork industry? We are seeking a motivated individual to join a well-established and successful steelwork fabrication business based locally to Luton. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team and play a key role in the company's ongoing success. Role & Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fabrication workshop. Oversee architectural metalwork fabrication such as balconies, handrails, balustrade, railing and gates Report directly to the Operations Manager. Manage a team of 15-20 staff, including Fabricators/Welders and Apprentices. Liaise with subcontractors, various departments, and employees to ensure smooth workflow. Ideal Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar management role. Ideally from a welding or fabrication background with strong technical knowledge. Ability to use Microsoft Excel for planning and reporting. NVQ or equivalent qualification in a managerial discipline. Fabrication experience is a preference. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. A strong team player with excellent leadership skills. What We Offer: Competitive salary up to £50,000 (DOE).
