As a Production Planner, you will be assisting in creating and communicating production plans from MRP. You will take responsibility for ensuring strict adherence to production schedules, and inter-departmental liaison will also be key to this role.
Responsibilities of our Production Planner:
* Directing the required production plans and schedules in order to meet delivery and manufacturing requirements (within the agreed order lead times).
* Analysing daily production reports and advising of anticipated output problems, such as OTIF shortages, equipment failures, and possible order amendments/cancellations.
* Expediting all operations that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
* Reviewing and maintaining MRP to establish capacity lead times and production volumes in conjunction with sales forecasts and customer orders.
* Controlling planning activities, within your levels of responsibility, ensuring that the department's workload is undertaken in an integrated, productive, and synchronised manner.
* Maintaining appropriately responsive stock levels that meet the criteria set out in the Service Level Agreement.
* Continuously assessing your responsibilities to identify opportunities for improvements and implementing these when needed.
You will have:
* A good level of education
* Ability to work towards tight deadlines
* Good computer skills, especially within Microsoft Office
* Excellent organisational skills
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
* Experience in the use of SAP
* Knowledge of MRP
* Adaptability, able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and react positively to changing circumstances
