Payroll Coordinator
Location : Enderby, Leicestershire (Hybrid: Two days onsite, three days working from home)
Salary : £23,000 to £25,000
Job Type : Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Latham & Bond HR is recruiting for our client, an education, foster care, and housing agency that supports children with diverse learning difficulties and vulnerable young people. This is a new opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator to join the central services team and deliver top-class payroll services to the company's colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all colleague-related data is accurately entered into systems and amendments are completed before payroll cut-off.
* Input payroll data accurately to ensure timely payments.
* Uphold financial controls related to payroll, minimising risk through adherence to local procedures and policies.
* Address employee payroll queries, escalating complex issues when necessary.
* Support sites and third parties with payroll enquiries, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Maintain and file payroll documentation efficiently to satisfy audit requirements.
* Work flexibly within established procedures, adapting to complex or unusual queries as needed.
* Meet tight payroll deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in a high-volume environment is desirable.
* Previous experience in Payroll Administration, HR Shared Services, or similar roles.
* Knowledge of payroll legislation is advantageous.
* Familiarity with iTrent or similar payroll systems is preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Highly organised, with attention to detail and a thorough approach.
* A proactive team player with the ability to work independently.
* Resilient and capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* High numeracy and IT literacy skills.
* Excellent customer service orientation.
