Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: 8am - 5pm including alternate weekends
The Manor House Roundhay is our brand new 65 bed, state-of-the-art care home, set to open in October 2024.
As Head Housekeeper you will ensure the cleanliness of our luxurious and meticulously finished to the highest standard care home, The Manor House Roundhay. You will supervise a team of Housekeepers ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is kept throughout the home including large bedroom suites with private en-suite wet room facilities, impressive dining rooms, hairdressing and beauty salon, as well as our café bar area and other communal areas within the care home.
Reporting into the Home Manager responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising a team of 2 Housekeepers
2. Ensuring that the location is clean, pleasant and safe for customers in either their home environment or communal areas.
3. Ensuring that cleaning products are used effectively, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.
Desired knowledge & experience:
4. Previous cleaning experience and knowledge is desirable.
5. Use of cleaning products in a safe manner.
6. Knowledge of cleaning procedures including use of equipment e.g. carpet cleaners.
7. Understanding of data protection and confidentiality and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
8. Health & safety in the workplace including Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH).

10. Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
11. Able to work individually and as part of a team.
12. Ability to prioritise and plan around customer needs.
