Main duties of the job
This role will be based at County Hospital, where you will be part of a small, friendly but busy team within Diabetes and Endocrinology.
We are looking to appoint a Medical Secretary to join the Diabetes and Endocrinology secretarial team. You will have experience in administrative duties and dealing with members of the public.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Outstanding empathy and compassion
* Able to use their own initiative
* Organizational skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office packages
* Clinical typing experience
* Understanding of clinics and appointments

Education and Qualifications
* General GCSE education or equivalent
Experience
* Secretarial/clerical background
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office package including: Microsoft Word and Outlook
* Knowledge of the Hospital EPR system
* Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
* Experience of working with Medisec, iPortal
Personal Qualities
* Able to use own initiative
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work with confidential information
