Technical Cardiology are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Cardiac Support Officer to work with the team of support staff in Technical Cardiology.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will help us continue to provide first class care to our patients. This role is a hybrid role, combining administrative and clinical skills. You will hold your SCST certificate, be capable of providing high quality ECG analysis and supervising junior colleagues within the team. You will also lead a specialised area within the service, overseeing the booking of tests, auditing your service and highlighting areas of concern to the senior team.
Job responsibilities
1. Ambulatory ECG analysis and hook up.
2. ECG recording and interpretation.
3. Supervising and training junior team members.
4. Assisting the ATO lead to ensure the smooth running of the day.
5. Managing waiting lists and databases.
6. Greeting patients on reception and dealing with queries.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience with ECG analysis software.
* Evidence of working with the general public.
* IT skills (Word processing and databases).
* Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Evidence of working in a caring or healthcare environment.
* Previous experience of hospital databases.
Training & Qualifications
* Must be literate and numerate to GCSE level.
* SCST certificate.
* SCST diploma.
Communication and Relationship Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Evidence of ability to work as a team member but also demonstrate using personal initiative.
* Excellent communicator with good telephone manner.

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 per annum pro rata.
