Job Duties:
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will either run the class in the absence of the teacher or support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences for students. Duties include assisting with lesson planning, leading small group activities, providing one-to-one support to students, and helping to assess student progress.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and relevant experience in an educational setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Education:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential. Additional qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school setting is required. Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methods. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent would be beneficial. Additional training in safeguarding and first aid is desirable.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a classroom setting, supporting students with their learning and development. The successful candidate may be required to work with students of varying abilities and needs, under the direction of the classroom teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
