With a focus on strategic leadership, performance analysis, project prioritisation, and budget management, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Samsung’s D2C ecosystem while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve high-reaching goals. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities 1. D2C Planning Interpret the global D2C strategy from headquarters and adapt it to provide clear leadership and vision with European market dynamics and goals. Lead and provide thought leadership to the European senior leadership team; ensure D2C plans are effectively communicated and integrated across relevant teams and markets; engaging with C-level management in markets and address any concerns. Provide leadership and drive coordination of European D2C planning, bridging global directives and local execution. 2. Strategic Leadership Devise and develop a comprehensive European D2C strategy, providing clear direction to local D2C teams to create actionable delivery plans. Identify market-specific weaknesses, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement across Europe to improve sales and customer happiness. Design and lead the execution of initiatives to address market challenges, foster growth, and implement levelling-up programs to ensure consistent performance across regions. Act as a leader with a point of view and advocate for D2C innovation within the organisation, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. 3. Performance Analytics and Reporting Drive the D2C strategy by establishing and measuring metrics to assess the efficiency of D2C strategies throughout Europe. Develop and deliver comprehensive performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, handle and deliver actionable insights and highlight progress against targets. Utilise, consolidate, and analyse data from various D2C teams to provide clear management guidance. Lead the delivery of concise, and impactful recommendations to collaborators. Host senior leadership reviews to regularly gather and share insights from D2C teams to inform and refine strategies, identifying both opportunities and risks. 4. Project Prioritisation Lead the prioritisation of D2C projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overarching European D2C strategy. Lead, monitor and review project relevance, progress, and outcomes, proactively addressing challenges and recommending course corrections when needed. Serve as a senior escalation point for project-related issues, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure successful delivery. 5. Budget Management Lead the D2C budget process, ensuring accurate monitoring, reporting, and alignment with financial objectives. Provide management and consultation on budget requests from D2C teams, emphasising the importance of achieving a positive return on investment. Provide C-level guidance aligned to strategy. Lead and manage consolidation of budget proposals, manage approvals with the finance team, and ensure efficient allocation of resources across European D2C initiatives. 6. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication Foster and maintain positive relationships with global, regional, and local collaborators to drive agreement and support for D2C initiatives Define and lead a clear, consistent communication strategy across teams, promoting transparency and accountability in D2C operations. Your key people management responsibilities Lead the strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction. Manage the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities. Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety. Lead communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates. Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members. Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner. To be accountable for ensuring your team are aligned with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the things we value. What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing operations in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) setting, with a focus on effective planning and governance. Strong thought leadership to develop insightful reports, strategy and planning that clearly identifies D2C opportunities that can grow the D2C business Strong planning and organising skills, the ability to develop plans, manage and deliver their execution whilst keeping collaborators updated Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing and guiding senior leadership develop strategy Ability to work with C-level senior management in a complex fast paced environment where frequent changes of scope need to be responded to and successfully delivered. Fluent in both native Korean and English What does success look like? A well-defined and implemented European D2C strategy, driving measurable business growth and aligning with global objectives. Strong collaboration across headquarters, regional markets, and local teams, ensuring seamless strategy execution and communication. Leading and delivering accurate and actionable KPI reports and insights to key stakeholders across Europe and the senior leadership team, enabling informed decision-making and strategic alignment Effective prioritisation and delivery of impactful projects, alongside insightful reporting that informs senior leadership’s decisions.
