As a user researcher you will plan, design, and carry out research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use Bupa’s products and services. This research will help to inform proposition, service, content, and interaction design so that our products and services meet the needs of our users and are truly customer centric. An extremely important part of everything we do at Bupa. How y ou’ll help us make health happen : You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team of researchers, product designers and content designers to help design experiences for all areas of the business. You’ll be responsible for planning and carrying out user research activities for and with the rest of the team. Alongside your research work, you will participate in discovery sessions and creative workshops. You will be part of regular user testing sessions, design critiques and will collaborate with the team throughout the design process. Open, collaborative, and iterative working is what we’re about. You’ll have experience of user centred design practices, and a solid research process that involves customers and stakeholders throughout and will be able to show us some of this in the interview. As the team is relatively new and growing, you’ll be able to really contribute to the research function and help to build it out. You can work with colleagues to include many kinds of users in appropriate research activities. Research skills. You understand and have experience of user research methods. You know when to use those methods and how to apply them correctly at different stages of the product life cycle and situations. You know how to involve your team in research activities. Society and technology. You can align user research activities to help your team understand changing user behaviour. You can help colleagues understand how digital technology is changing user behaviour, and the challenges and opportunities for healthcare, insurance and Bupa. Strategic insight. You can align user research activities with objectives to create strategic insights that inform our digital propositions, products, and services. You understand what problem the team is trying to solve. You can align user research activities to inform decision making and action. Technical understanding. You demonstrate knowledge of the technologies used to build and operate digital services. You understand the different technical roles in a multidisciplinary team. User-centred and agile practices. You understand and have experience of a range of user-centred practices and know how to embed them into an agile workflow to deliver timely findings. You can work in an open, iterative, and collaborative way to help colleagues to plan and do continuous user research in a multidisciplinary team.
