ERP Consultant / Implementation Project Manager
Location: Bristol and hybrid
Contract Length: 18 months
Day Rate: £600 Outside IR35
Industry Focus: Rental, Leasing, Asset Management (including Manufacturing & Supply Chain)
Are you an experienced ERP project manager looking for your next contract? If so, this may be the role for you.
This is an opportunity to work with a rental business who are undergoing a major ERP transformation.
This role involves working closely with internal teams and the ERP vendor to ensure a smooth transition, aligning with industry-specific processes such as inventory tracking, contract management, maintenance scheduling, and billing.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Strategy
1. Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with rental industry processes.
2. Define milestones, deliverables, and success criteria, maintaining a structured approach to the project.
3. Collaborate with the ERP vendor to identify customizations and additional modules to optimize business operations.
4. Ensure the project stays within budget and scope, reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
Engagement & Communication
1. Work closely with internal teams (development, finance, rental operations, and inventory management) to gather requirements and drive system adoption.
2. Manage engagement with the ERP vendor to ensure seamless data migration, testing, and go-live support.
Industry-Specific Process Oversight
1. Ensure the ERP system effectively supports rental contract lifecycle management, asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, pricing models, and billing.
2. Oversee data migration, ensuring a seamless transition of rental agreements, asset histories, and financial records.
3. Implement best practices for fleet utilization, equipment tracking, and service management.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
1. Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring smooth project execution.
2. Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and improve future implementations.
3. Maintain adherence to industry compliance, governance, and best practices.
Experience & Skills Required
1. Proven experience managing ERP implementations within the rental, leasing, or asset management sector.
2. Strong understanding of rental business operations, including contract management, recurring billing, and asset lifecycle management.
3. Experience across the full ERP project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system configuration and change management.
