We are seeking a Social Worker who can offer exceptional services to children eligible for adoption. We prioritize their well-being and the meticulous preparation of Child Permanence Reports. We need support for these children in care, ensuring a smooth transition into adoptive families
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments and prepare detailed Child Permanence Reports.
* Collaborate with the adoption team to identify suitable matches for children with adoptive families.
* Provide ongoing support to children in care, ensuring their needs are met and rights protected.
* Assist children in understanding their life stories and preparing for the transition to adoptive families.
* Develop and implement ‘Keeping in Touch’ plans post-adoption to maintain connections beneficial to the child’s well-being.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the team’s objectives.
Essential Criteria:
* A degree in Social Work and registration with the relevant professional body.
* Proven experience in writing Child Permanence Reports.
* Knowledge of the adoption process and relevant legislation.
* Ability to work empathetically with children and understand their unique stories.
* Strong communication and team-working skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in working with small, supportive teams.
* Familiarity with therapeutic approaches beneficial for children in care.
