Beluga Rox are searching for an Audit & Quality Improvement Officer to work within our clients Quality and Compliance team. You will be visiting our clients branches and conducting internal audits. This is a field-based role with travel around branches within the Northwest; therefore, the ideal candidate will have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
We're looking for someone who can work under their own initiative and who has health and social care experience. You must have an excellent eye for detail and be able to spot those small errors that others might miss.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Auditing records and processes, reporting on findings against quality and compliance standards, identifying any good or non-compliant practices using internal audit processes and systems.
2. Ensuring clear post-audit feedback discussion and guidance is delivered to management to ensure findings are fully understood and acted upon to improve quality within services.
3. Support teams to develop action plans following internal audits and provide critical input or lead in formulation of plans to support teams to address audit findings and implement lessons learned.
4. Identifying lessons learned across the group and monitoring how these are properly implemented to reduce risk and improve quality.
5. Supporting the Group Head of Quality & Compliance in analysing audit findings to improve processes and quality across the organisation.
6. Developing positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, adopting a partnership approach to improvement of quality in practice.
7. Contribute to the development and review of Quality Assurance processes and audit tools alongside the Group Head of Quality & Compliance.
8. Liaising with line manager and complying with requirements regarding supervision, undertaking continuous professional development, and attendance at formal training.
9. Being aware and responsive to the differing needs of all our staff and customers.
10. Undertaking any other duties in relation to this area of work.
You will need to have/be:
1. Experience of undertaking audits.
2. Understanding of audits and their purpose.
3. Understanding of CQC/CIW and knowledge of key lines of enquiry and the CQC single assessment framework.
4. Ideally, but not essential, understanding and knowledge of OFSTED regulatory framework and standards for Children's Homes.
5. Ability to work under pressure within tight timescales and manage competing priorities.
6. Ability to work positively and constructively with colleagues, managers, and customers through effective communication and networking skills.
7. Understanding and ability to deliver detailed audit findings and information in a clear and constructive way.
8. Ability to analyse and critique poor practice as well as the ability to recognise and celebrate good practice.
9. Be adaptable and able to respond to change in a positive way.
