Job Purpose
To maintain the OT Asset base to agreed performance criteria, including but not limited to Plant and process Monitoring, Control and Automation, Remote Telemetry Systems and Electronic Security Systems.
Job Accountabilities
1. Liaising and co-operating with other operational and Work Management teams in order to deliver quality and timeliness of services.
2. Co-ordinating with other team members and reporting of work quality or progress as necessary.
3. Customer focus, balancing the demands and building relationships with multiple clients.
4. Management of own work and priorities based on wider business needs.
5. Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety processes, procedures and guidelines.
6. Adhere to all appropriate InfoSec policies and procedures.
7. To analyze faults and recommend solutions to recurring maintenance problems ensuring that processes are operated with optimized efficiency.
8. Ability to think and operate independently within the constraints of the role but seek support from colleagues and line managers as appropriate.
Knowledge and Skills
1. To have served a formal Electrical or Instrumentation apprenticeship.
2. Understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
3. Good awareness of security, both physical and IT-related.
4. Ability to record actions accurately and document findings effectively.
5. Interacts and operates at all levels of the business.
6. Focus must be maintained on excellent customer service.
7. Demonstrate a degree of tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues.
8. Understanding of the Regulatory and CNI standards for Water Industry Security.
9. A good knowledge and non-theoretical understanding in the following specialized technology areas: SCADA, PLCs, Control and Automation, Telemetry and Wide Area communication technologies, Security management and Electronic Security Sub systems (CCTV, IDS, ACS).
10. Confident with all forms of IT hardware and Microsoft applications.
11. Ability to think and act independently.
12. Working knowledge of Information Security good practice.
13. Full UK driving licence.
