We are looking for a Stills and Video Specialist to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.
Salary range: £36,180 up to £37,500
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke
AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Please note that due to the nature of the work you will be doing, there is a significant requirement to be on site although no specific working pattern.
Introducing the role:
We require a photographer with a keen interest in capturing technical components as well as being able to create visual imagery across multiple platforms. Using both photography and videography to inform, engage and entertain internal and external audiences and support the company’s communications and marketing goals.
A typical day could look like this:
1. Photographing and optimising a range of work across different genres
2. Gathering and proposing ideas and topics for photographic/video content, ensuring appropriate, cost-effective approach is taken to capturing stills and video
3. Working in designated hazardous and explosives areas
4. Initiating production meetings for new projects
5. Collaborating and networking with stakeholders across the business
6. Preparing content for external and internal channels
7. The job will involve travel to various and varied UK and overseas locations
We’d like you to have some of the following experience or qualifications:
1. Proficient with stills cameras and knowledge of video
2. Confident setting up a shoot including lighting, sound and other technical requirements
3. Editing using [Adobe] software
4. Agile with multi-media formats including web, and other digital mediums
