The Role
Our Leisure Club Assistants support in providing a successful Health & Fitness offering to members and guests, promoting and supporting behavioural change in achieving fitness goals and the benefits of healthy living.The role reports directly to the Leisure Club Manager and is part of a team based from our hotel in Ipswich.
Leisure Club Assistant responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the club is always presented in the appropriate condition ensuring the correct daily, weekly and monthly checks are being completed.
2. Achieving new member sales, renewals and net membership growth metrics.
3. Supporting the Club Management Team in relation to local marketing initiatives to drive New Member Sales, Membership Headcount and the Clubs position in the community.
4. Always demonstrating a pro-active approach to Health & Safety and support the Club Management Team relating to the Sustainable Safety Group (SSG) audit.
5. Undertaking cash handling duties and submitting to hotel finance.

What you’ll bring to the team
This role is perfect for someone who is looking to demonstrate their skills and develop their career - someone who has some experience in the leisure/fitness/spa wellness industry, but this is not essential.
The ideal candidate would have one or more of the following qualifications:
6. Pool Water Safety Qualification of Pool Responder
7. First Aid at Work Qualification
8. CIMSPA fitness professional qualification of Level 2 or above
9. Health & Fitness / Leisure Industry Qualification of Level 3 or above
