Role overview: As an NPD Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting two NPD Project Managers in the development and launch of new and existing products. This role offers a dynamic and hands-on opportunity to work within a fast-paced food innovation environment, collaborating with various teams across the business.
Responsibilities
1. Support New Product Development and Existing Product Development launches
2. Organise product panels, ensuring outcomes are communicated to the team
3. Evaluate and critique new product concepts
4. Manage product samples and sample deliveries from bakeries
5. Lead shelf life validation and report micro / organoleptic findings
6. Help write detailed Quality Attribute Specs for new product launches
7. Review & panel competitor launches and support with product research
8. Monitor trends and create new recipe inspiration for customer visits and events
9. Work closely and build strong relationships with other departments and other Grupo Bimbo sites
10. Future opportunity to lead development project, attend bakery visits and build relationships with our bakery partners
Person Specification
1. A passion for food
2. Well organised with good attention to detail
3. The ability to work across several projects and meet tight deadlines
4. Experience in carrying out product evaluation and critique
5. Good report writing and presentation skills
6. Ambitious and keen to develop in food industry
7. Flexibility and interested to travel internationally
