Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Follow a schedule Follow a schedule to test and maintain all Electrical systems correcting any faults you may find
* Read and understand engineering drawings
* Use the Building Management System to control and monitor the electrical, heating and ventilation systems
* Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
* Implement essential safety procedures before working on systems
* Assist with electrical maintenance and some install
* Work with other trades and gain experience from their knowledge
* Develop strong customer service and client relationship building skills

* Comply with current company policies and procedures.
* Undertake dynamic risk assessment to identify and manage a safe working environment.
* Produce a risk assessment.
* Produce a method statement.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
