The Role
I am currently working with a vibrant design led practice who are looking for a Senior Architect. As a Senior Architect you will be responsible for managing major projects or multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and quality.
This role involves overseeing project teams, resources, and outputs, while also handling client liaison. The Senior Architect has specific responsibilities within studio operations in addition to general duties. The firm is known for its projects with progressive clients, focused on delivering projects that generate social value in the public and culture sectors.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects, including scope, fees, resourcing, and outputs.
Assist in project fee proposals, contract reviews, and PII provider liaison.
Keep senior management updated on progress and design development.
Ensure the highest quality in design, professional management, and technical delivery.
Stay updated on relevant legislation and regulations.
Supervise project teams, reviewing work before issuance.
Develop design programs and deliverables for various project stages.
Research and develop architectural solutions, briefs, materials, and construction systems.
Oversee concept, technical designs, and production information.
Prepare drawings for various approvals, tender, and construction purposes.
Lead client presentations and incorporate feedback.
Manage internal and external meetings, project files, and QA processes.
Contribute to post-completion assessments and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
RIBA Part 3 (or equivalent)
Minimum of three years of relevant post-architect role experience in the UK
Ability to produce and present architectural designs.
Strong drawing, presentation, and model-building skills.
Knowledge of technical standards, regulations, and sustainability.
Proficiency in relevant CAD systems, 3D software, and visualization tools. (Revit Essential)
Understanding of project financials and timelines.
