Our Leigh office is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to work within both the Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Family Departments.
Hours: Full time or part time role would be considered for the right candidate.
Purpose of Role: To provide a high quality administration service to the Firm and its fee earners.
Responsible to: Partner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Transcription of digital dictation and copy work.
2. Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone.
3. Taking calls and providing cover for reception as and when required.
4. Filing correspondence and paperwork.
5. Inputting information provided by fee earner onto the database as required.
6. Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner.
7. Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with.
8. Maintaining high professional standards, confidence and integrity.
9. Such other tasks as the Firm may from time to time require.
Experience: Experience in a legal environment is preferred although not essential.
Knowledge / Skills:
1. Appropriate manual dexterity and keyboard skills.
2. Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.
3. Work calmly and accurately under pressure.
4. Prioritise tasks.
5. Willingness and ability to learn new technology.
