Join our team at Panache Lingerie Ltd, passionate about creating beautiful lingerie and intimates. As a Supply Chain Merchandiser, you will play a key role in ensuring our beautiful lingerie collections flow seamlessly from production to retail. You’ll collaborate with our internal design and product teams and key suppliers to maintain our high standards of quality and ensure timely delivery to delight our customers.
About the Role
To ensure all aspects of the production process are adhered to, internally and externally, in line with relevant key stages of the critical path. Ensuring that product is available to maintain agreed customer service levels, in line with required launch dates and customer requirements. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Purchasing (Raw Material Suppliers)
o Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to issue seasonal forecasts and negotiate costs/surcharges and delivery dates when necessary.
o Negotiate compensation for any charges incurred due to the nominated supplier's delay/quality issue.
o Monitor and report supplier performance and maintain preferred supplier list.
2. Production
o Place and manage seasonal and core purchase orders for the group through to receipt in the company.
o Collate and update work-in-progress reports weekly, responding to and addressing daily queries from factories on time.
o Collate main material garment usage from factories.
o Monitor surcharges from factories, address and resolve surcharges when required.
o Place production priorities with factories based on availability/required dates.
o Advise ship modes for purchase orders based on customer requirements.
o Order and monitor Salesman Sample production to ensure arrival in line with critical dates.
o Manage brand packaging including sourcing, cost negotiation, monitor deliveries and stock levels.
o Calculate standard costs for all fashion ranges and review and update core standard costs seasonally.
o Monitor garment factory ethical compliance status.
o Must be flexible to travel to the Far East if required.
3. Critical Path
o Attend weekly critical path meetings with the design team and ensure all milestones are being met.
o Escalate exceptions in the weekly critical path exception meeting.
4. Communication
o Work with the design team to find solutions to any raw material/production issues.
o Highlight potential problems to management providing information and advice to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
o Work closely with the Panache China team to directly address issues with factories and Far East suppliers.
o Liaise with the Demand Planner to communicate shipment shortages/issues, production priorities, and core availability information.
o Liaise with the distribution centres to advise any shipment delays/problems with shipments.
o Communicate salesman sample issues/delays to the product team.
o Work with the accounts department to resolve any factory invoice/credit/debit note queries.
5. Internal Systems
o Set up supplier information including factory costs, landed cost details, and lead times on the ERP system ensuring information is kept up to date.
o Place purchase orders on the ERP system ensuring information is entered accurately and kept up to date.
o Set up new factories/brands/range names/colors/product types in the PLM system (Vision) and push through.
o Accurately update and maintain the PLM system for appropriate tasks.
o Record all range names and color codes used to avoid duplication for future ranges.
o Ensure no errors on style recording on the ERP System.
o Advise Sales Support of all new styles sent through and advise season/core/fashion effective date.
o Set up any customer exclusives and generate barcodes for them to raise orders.
6. Cover Support
o Write critical path templates based on product type and factory and assign the correct critical path to all styles with the agreed delivery date.
o Manage critical path, running weekly meetings with the design team and critical path exception meetings with the management team.
Skills and Experience
* We’re seeking a highly organised, proactive individual with the ability to hit the ground running and manage multiple priorities, ideally with a background in the fashion or lingerie industry.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience of progressive Supply Chain professional experience, ideally in merchandising, freight forwarding, or a similar role.
* Strong numeracy, analytical skills.
* Problem-solving and alternative solution thinking.
* Strong IT skills, including being an advanced user of MS Excel and proficiency in inventory management software.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
