Job Description
Our client is a family-owned business rooted in the heart of North Yorkshire, which has been established over 30 years.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Company Accountant to manage our client's finance department using Sage 50 and oversee a small accounts department while ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations as well as producing accurate management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain up-to-date financial records and prepare management accounts for reporting into the board.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts.
* Produce balance sheets and income statements.
* Oversee the purchase and sales ledger.
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Experience required:
* AAT Qualified or similar.
* Held a similar role reporting into the MD of an owner-managed business.
* Strong Excel ability and experience using Sage 50.
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000
